How do I deal with slow internet speeds

I think no traveler cannot survive without internet and how can one access internet services while in Istanbul. kindly advice cause the last time i was there i used skyroam services and it was pathetic, a friend of mine has recommended rent n connect which is a pocket WiFi too. let me know your take on this
