We are a family group of eight (3 generations) on a cruise from Istanbul to Athens next summer. We would like to tour Ephesus with our own guide for the day. I don't know if there is a van/small bus with a guide that could work for the transport from the ship (small ship) but this would be ideal. The excursion cost for this day for all of us is quite high with the ship. Thank you.

The owner, Mehlika Seval was my guide on a RS tour of Turkey 20 years ago. Meli was an outstanding guide and passionate about Ephesus. I suspect her company would have excellent guides.

It's been some years but hubby and I were on a cruise and found a group of 6 that needed another couple for a private tour of Ephesus. We joined them so our total was 8. The guide, Levent Solmaz picked us up with a driver in a van and we had a great tour of Ephesus. He had a notebook he carried which had sketches of the "before" so that we could look at the ruins and see what they had originally looked like. He had lived in the US for a few years so his English and understanding was excellent. And the information he had was great. If we went back, this is who I would hire if he's still in business.
