Our family is traveling the globe for a year and we recently departed after 9 wonderful days in Türkiye.
I wanted to share some recommendations for guides that we used and engaged with during our stay.
First, I picked up Mutlu Bulut's info from this forum and contacted him, however he was unavailable during our stay. What I want to share though is how he took the time to make recommendations of other trusted guides and throughout our journey he stayed in touch to make sure everything was going well, with no financial incentive of his own. In Ephesus we worked with Evren Özdemir on Mutlu's recommendation and had a wonderful experience. From meeting, to the very nice van and driver to his extensive knowledge of the site and easy going manner, I couldn't have asked for a better day with our family. In Istanbul we had the pleasure to spend the day with Osman Ozmen who was recommended to me by someone not on this forum, but was absolutely wonderful as well. Osman worked with me to make the best use of our day and ensured we traveled safely and efficiently and learned plenty along the way. Additionally, when we asked to eat a good meal he brought us to Galeyan Restaurant which I recommend as strongly as I recommend Osman. Last but certainly not least, we had an amazing 2 days with Sanem Tasel in Cappadocia. Multu again was a great resource to us, connecting us with Sanem which was so terrific because she was absolutely delightful to spend time with and made sure that every aspect of our time in the area was memorable. From working with me to plan our days in advance to adjusting on the fly to hikes and visits we wanted to make, she was the perfect person to show us the area.
