When we were in Brussels, there was the Carrefour chain. Is their something similar in Istanbul?

I don't recall seeing any chain grocers in that area, just smaller shops and mini-mart type places. What would you be looking for specifically?

Carrefour is fairly common in Turkey, but I don't see any in Sultanahmet when I look on Google Maps. There is one on the other side of the Galata Bridge.
Migros is pretty common, too, but I don't see any in Sultanahmet.

I appreciate your replies. We're staying in an apartment (I know it's best to stay in a hotel, but my husband prefers an apartment), and we will need breakfast supplies. We might need feminine hygiene products for my daughter and me. We'll check out the neighborhood stores first and then shop across the Galata Bridge if necessary.
