Thank you I haven’t ironed out a specific itinerary yet, I’m waiting for the experienced travelers to give me advice. I don’t want to embarrass myself.

I would recommend starting in Turkey and ending in the port city of Kusadasi. Then if you want to go to some islands, and really why wouldn't you, you can take ferries between those islands before going to mainland Greece and flying out of Athens.

Ask may I ask: is it recommended to just visit Pamukkale from another lodging city or should it actually be on my itinerary. Thanks

Istanbul-Cappadocia-? Then ferry city out to Greece?

Greece island from Turkey-(Crete-Santorini-not sure which order is recommended)-Athens

If I’m missing something that is a must please educate me. Also if I’m out of order…please help!!! 🥺

My main cities are Istanbul/Cappadocia. And somehow do a day trip to Pamukkale. (I can’t figure out which city I should use as a base to visit) then go back to Greece. Not sure how my itinerary should look for the connection over there. 🥺😢😭

You really need to get a guidebook. Rick Steves has a book on Greece and the Greek Islands in addition to Istanbul Turkey.

There are not great ferry connections between Turkey and Greece. Most are connections from Turkey to omly nearby Greek islands, which also don't have great connections to other islands. It looks like the Greek islands you are interested in are in the Cyclades group. Each group of islands has good ferry service within the group. You'll need to fly into or out of these islands to reach Turkey, by way of Athens. Matt Barrett's website is a good place to start for Greece: https://www.greektravel.com/greekislands/
