Hello,
I leave for Istanbul in a week and am trying my hardest to figure out if I can go by ferry from the Kabatas ferry station (will walk there from the Dolmabahce Palace) to the Orkatoy station on a Sunday. I know there mus be a way but I'll be darned if I can figure it out. I've been on the Sehir Hatlari website and it doesn't appear to be an option. Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of a ferry, just take a bus heading north - it will be faster. Buses run up along the major street along the Bosphorus (which will be very obvious once you're on the ground) that connects the palace and Ortakoy (they are 4.2 km apart according to google).

The number 25b bus goes there every 10minutes or so.
