Traveling to Turkey in September and planning on a day trip to Ephesus, flying in from Istanbul. Looked at two tour companies for a private tour but not sure which one to select. Hoping to get some opinions from the Rick Steves community. Received responses from ephesusshuttle.com and izmirephesustours.com. Would appreciate others sharing experiences with either firm.

We just did a private day trip in December 25 (cruise excursion) with Ephesus Shuttle. It was great! I asked to have the tour tailored to exactly what we wanted to do. They did so with no problem--we just had to pay a little extra for entrance fees. The guide was personable and knowledgeable. I would absolutely use them again.
