I am visiting Istanbul in about 30 days for two days. I am from the USA. I read I needed an E Visa and went to the official government website to fill out an application. After filling out some information, the prompt came back that "You are Exempt from Visa" so that seems legit but wanted to double check from those in this group?
You do not need a visa.
No, if you are a U.S. citizen traveling to Turkey for tourism or short-term business purposes for less than 90 days (within 180 days), you do not need an e-visa. You can travel with a valid U.S. passport. However, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned entry date into Turkey and have at least one blank page for entry and exit stamps.
