Dalaman airport to Ephesus

All of western Turkey is well connected by various bus companies. The town of Dalaman has a bus station and in summer, there is direct bus service from that airport to Fethiye and Marmaris, according to Lonely Planet. You would need at least one connection to get to Kusadasi or Selcuk.

If you fly into Izmir airport instead, then you can take a direct train to Selcuk.

I also would not hesitate to drive; it is the same as driving in Europe and you would not have to enter any big city; car rentals can be reserved through the usual agencies like www.autoeurope.com.
