My husband and I are going on the 13 Day tour of Turkey in November and will have some extra time in Istanbul before and after the trip. We're interested in trying one of the Culinary Backstreets tours. Has anyone done one of these? Which one would you recommend? We're torn between the Meyhane tour and the Waterside neighborhoods tour.

We were in Istanbul in May and took a tour with Culinary Backstreets. We loved it!!
We did "Two Markets, Two Continents".....there were 7 of us plus a wonderful enthusastic guide.
We ate and ate! And met some great shopkeepers along the way.
We probably would not have gone to these neighborhoods on our own...it just would have taken too long to find our way around.
At first we thought it was expensive, but I think for the total experience it was well worth it.
Communications with the company were excellent. We knew right where and when to meet our guide.
I would recommend this highly!!
