Hi, Natalie!

I highly recommend Mutlu Bulut for an in depth look at the many layers of Turkish history. From our very first email correspondence, I knew that Mutlu would be a great guide! He was quick to respond to my
questions (I had several) & gave me invaluable suggestions that allowed us to craft an itinerary together. My husband & I spent 2 days touring the archeological sites in Ephesus, Priene, Miletus, Didyma & Selcuk. His love of the history of his country was
reflected in his deep knowledge of the area. He is a great storyteller which made the history come alive. His pleasant personality made it easy to spend 2 days with him. We so enjoyed his company which was like that of a friend showing us around his hometown.
You can reach Mutlu at [email protected] (the character after his name is a zero). He writes & speaks in excellent English. I cannot say enough good things about him! You will definitely enjoy his tour!

All the best,
Maureen

An Unforgettable Journey with Mutlou!
We just returned from an incredible multi-generational family trip to Ephesus and Istanbul/Kusadasi, and we can't recommend our guide, Mutlou, highly enough. If you're looking for an exceptional, deeply engaging, and truly memorable experience, Mutlou is your person!
From the moment we met him, Mutlou's passion for the history and culture of these incredible places shone through. He's not just incredibly knowledgeable; he brought everything to life with such an entertaining and kind demeanor. He truly went above and beyond, dedicating a remarkable amount of time to research to tailor the experience perfectly for our diverse group.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Mutlu Bulut as our private guide in Kusadasi. From the moment we stepped off the cruise ship, Mutlu was there waiting for us with a warm welcome—no confusion, no delays, just smooth and easy from the start.

As a local, Mutlu’s knowledge of the region—both ancient and modern—was exceptional. He tailored the tour to match exactly what we were hoping to experience. We explored the incredible ruins of Ephesus, and while the ancient history was fascinating on its own, Mutlu also shared insights into modern Turkish culture, daily life, and religious traditions, which made the experience even more meaningful. A highlight for me was visiting the Isa Bey Mosque. Not only is it a beautiful and historic building, but Mutlu also took the time to explain the customs and beliefs associated with Islam as well as the area's early Christian heritage.

We also asked for a truly local dining experience—not a tourist spot—and Mutlu delivered. He guided us through the menu, ordered for us, and the food was absolutely amazing. Authentic, delicious, and one of our favorite meals of the whole trip!

The pacing of the day was perfect—relaxed yet efficient—and with some time to spare, Mutlu suggested we visit a local rug cooperative. It was fascinating to learn about the artistry and tradition behind Turkish rug-making. Best of all, it was educational and low-pressure—not the kind of hard-sell experience we had worried about.

Having a private guide made all the difference. We were able to move at our own pace, spend more time at the places that interested us most, and avoid the delays and rigid schedules that come with large group tours. There was no waiting around for others, and we felt a real personal connection—Mutlu was friendly, engaging, and genuinely interested in getting to know us and sharing his culture.

From start to finish, Mutlu was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. If you're visiting Kusadasi and want a meaningful, personalized experience beyond the typical cruise excursions, I can’t recommend him highly enough.
