I'm in the early planning stages for an April 2023 trip to Istanbul. I'd like to hire a private guide for part of the trip and have seen several great recommendations for Mert Taner. I'm hoping someone can please share his contact information.

I was on the RS Best of Istanbul tour led by Mert this May, so I can confirm how fabulous he is, and that this is him:
If he's not available, SRM travel - the company that partners in Turkey with Rick Steves Europe and authored the Best of Istanbul guidebook - has many fabulous guides, including others who lead the Rick Steves tours.

Thank you! I had tried the about.me contact last week and hadn't heard back, so thought maybe it was out of date. i went looking and see that our arrival date in Istanbul is also the start of the first RS 2023 tour, so probably not a good time for us to work with him! I will try your other suggestion, thank you.

There are several guides who lead the Best of Istanbul and Best of Turkey tours, so he may still be available.
You could also email SRM Travel and likely get word to him through Lale Aran.
