Confused about Istanbul ferry from Eminonu to Kadikoy.

I would like to take the ferry to Kadikoy, but there appear to be multiple ferry terminals at Eminonu and I'm unclear as to which to use to reach the Kadikoy Terminal. When I checked Google Maps, it routed me to Harem with ground transportation to Kadikoy. I just want to travel to the Kadikoy Terminal. Can anyone advise?

It's the terminal just west of the Galata Bridge - it will be very obvious when you get there - the next ferries are shown on the big sign at the entry.

Google Maps does show the route, but what exactly it shows may depend on the time you entered your query, or your parameters (ie fastest route etc). Google Maps seems to be a bit and miss in some cities.

I am on my second week in Istanbul (and in fact second trip, having been here last July) and am loving it. We were in Kadıköy today, and last week we took the ferry to Kadıköy and then bus to Üsküdar to visit the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque - highly recommended. We got a taste for ferries and yesterday took an intercity ferry (2 hour trip) to Güzelyalı and Bursa, which was fun - the Bursa Grand Mosque is impressive and we saw snowcapped mountain peaks.

Try using CityMapper (on desktop or app). You can pick the option that uses ferries. Also as Simon mentioned put in the day of week and time you want to travel so you get options that work when you're likely to be traveling.

Dear Kathy you can watch a number of Youtube videos that show exactly what/where ferry to take to put your concerns to rest. J

When you get there it really will all become clear.

We stayed in Karakoy, so the other side of the Galata Bridge from Eminonu. We caught the ferry there, it then stopped at Eminonu and then over to Kadikoy.

It was very easy to find everything.

Make sure to walk along the waterfront if you can, it was one of our most enjoyable times in Istanbul, just to be away from the madding crowds.
