We're planning to travel from Bodrum to Side this summer, flying into Bodrum airport and out of Antalya. Initially we had planned to hire a car and drive the route, but having seen that we could cut out a lot of the driving by doing a Gulet cruise from Fethiye to Olympos, we're now thinking that'd be a good option. But now I'm left with a car hire dilemma as we'll need a car to get from Bodrum to Fethiye and will still need to get from Olympos to Antalya. What do people usually do? Is it relatively easy to pick up and drop off hire cars en route? How easy would it be to get from Olympos to Antalya without a car - we are travelling with children so we definitely need to keep things fairy simple.

I wouldnt get a risk with children when traveling.I suggest you rent a car from big/corporate companies in Turkey.Such as;Budget rent a car company. Check their website.
You can also start your Gulet from Bodrum to Olympos. Think that. There are many companies at Bodrum.

Thanks, but we don't want to be on a boat for that long, we'd like to spend some time on shore as well. Re the car hire, what I'm looking for is to see if other people have managed car hire for a trip like ours, not for recommendations on car hire companies. Thanks though.
