I will be in Cappadocia toward the end of the month for three days, and had reserved a rental car. However, on Friday I lost my wallet, and my replacement driver's license won't arrive before I leave or the trip (and there's no way to expedite it). I have a temporary driver certificate, but Sixt tells me that they won't accept that in lieu of an official driver's license card for car rental. I could check other car rental companies, but I'd be worried that I'd arrive to rent the car and be turned down by a local agent. So I am going to cancel the car.
I know that I could sign up for group day tours, but I was also thinking of hiring a car and driver for at least one full day so I could go at my own pace, something I was looking forward to doing. Any recommendations of a reliable English-speaking driver?
