Cappadocia Hotels

I stayed in Hotel Mustafa and was pleased.

Göreme is absolutely the best choice since you won't have a car, as the town center is relatively flat with plenty of accessible restaurants and shops.
We recently traveled to Cappadocia with similar priorities and chose the Zara Cave Hotel. I highly recommend it for your stay. It is located right near the town center, which means you avoid the steep, exhausting uphill walks that many other Göreme hotels require. Despite the central location, it is a very peaceful and quiet property. You mentioned wanting a lovely view without a climb—Zara has four different terraces where you can sit comfortably and watch the hot air balloons fill the sky in the morning. As for the rooms, they are beautifully renovated with underfloor heating and excellent ventilation, so there is absolutely no musty smell.
While Aydinli Cave Hotel is also a wonderful property, it sits on a hillside and requires a 5 to 10-minute uphill walk from the center. Over four days, that incline could become quite tiring.
Finally, since you won't have a car, getting from the airport to Göreme smoothly is essential. We booked our airport pickup with Meet Transfer and they were exceptional. A driver met us at the airport with a VIP black Mercedes minivan and brought us directly to the hotel entrance. It was a spacious, comfortable, and completely stress-free way to start the trip without having to wait on a shared shuttle.
