Where does the Bosphorus tour included in the RS tour go? We're wondering if we should book an additional Bosphorus tour into the Black Sea?
There are regular, inexpensive local ferries, on one hand, and tourist-oriented ferries on the other (one of them takes you to Rumeli Fortress on the northern part of the Bosphorus and you have to eat lunch there and heed the ferry schedule). I think a regular local ferry was great and very inexpensive, and I appreciated the flexibility to get off wherever I wanted. You can also take a local ferry along the Golden Horn and to the Asia side of Istanbul (Kadikoy), as well as a longer ferry to the Princes Islands. You just need to show up at the ferry docking station and check out your options, no need to book anything ahead. The tourist-oriented ferries will have maps posted showing where they go and the schedule, and there will likely be touts trying to steer you to one of those since they're more expensive than regular local ferries.
I'm also wondering where the included boat goes on the RS tours! Anyone been lately?
We took it three years ago but I can’t tell you where we got off. It was an hour to an hour and a half, I think. We went by many large mansions for wives of the Sultans, etc. it was quite pleasant. You might call RS office for the exact disembarking point.
Hello, this is especially for Agnes but anyone can answer.
Where are these ferries located?
Trying to find a link just to have a location to arrive to via walking/tram/taxi.
Thank you in advance.
Where are these ferries located?
