I wasn't there long enough to do anything bird specific, but I tended to take my binocs on sightseeing days. The park and high outlooks around Topkapi Palace gave a few birds...all new to me at the time. If you do Rick's Bosphorus ferry trip, I suspect some sea birds there. Otherwise I tend to look at eBird Hotspots maps for places to bird while traveling.
