We have used Orange for France and Germany and a local provider (Three) in Ireland. As our next trip is Turkey I'm wondering what folks have experienced getting full voice and data connectivity in Turkey?
Just Data, but Airalo worked very well throughout Turkey. I paired it with what’s app for messaging.
Hi,
Just returned from RS 13 day Tour of Turkey.
Didn't use and eSIM since I'm not yet familiar with the technology and quirks.
However, Did get at regular Turkcell 1 month (50GB data) SIM card with calling. $40 US. I have a dual SIM Samsung phone.
It worked flawlessly - even in remote areas.
Only made a few calls but, for me, having continuous access to google maps, google docs, google translate, and getting instant further information about a site, topic, restaurant, etc. makes the trip more enjoyable.
Hope this helps.
I used Google Fi eSIM and had good coverage throughout western Turkey.
I used Airalo and would do so again. However, I spent all my time in Istanbul and Bursa.
