Airport hotel in Zurich

I'm thinking of staying at Radisson Blu for my last night in Zurich (in October) since I have a 7 a.m. flight. It seems so convenient but I'm concerned about noise when I'm trying to sleep since it's actually part of the airport. Does anyone have comments/experience about that issue?

Thank you!

My airport stays have mostly been at Hiltons and Sofitels. The windows are thicker and have sufficient sound deadening to make it fairly quiet. Most of the time I wouldn’t be aware of the location. If the hotel allows you to select a room online try to get one away from the airport/runways.

FYI the train from Zurich starts at about 5 AM and takes about 15 minutes. If you decide to stay away from the airport do confirm with the hotel that the bus or shuttle starts early enough to get you there in time.

I’ve stayed at some onsite airport hotels before an early flight too and I’ve never heard any airport noise and I’m not a super sound sleeper. Read some reviews on booking.com and TripAdvisor.com too to see if anyone comments on soundproofing or lack thereof.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu before an early morning flight out of Zurich. We had no problem with noise and got a good nights sleep. It is very easy in the morning to simply stroll through the sliding glass doors to the terminal. The only downside for us was, it really feels like the vacation is over when you check into an airport hotel. :)

Thank you everyone, i have a 7 a.m. flight so a shuttle starting at 5 or 5:30 likely won't work :)

We also stayed at the Radisson Blu at the airport on one of our Switzerland visits. It is certainly the most convenient option. We liked it a lot, and had no trouble sleeping —-I do not recall any airport noise at all.

I wonder if they still have the flying “ wine Angel” I the lobby? I should check the website.

Edit:

Photos of the wine tower and Angel from the web:

When we were there, she looked like this, and was suspended on a cable as she “flew” around the tower retrieving a bottle of wine.
