Istanbul Hotels - SOLO traveler

Hello

Any new recommendations for a hotel in Istanbul for a solo female traveler? I will be off boarding a cruise ship and will want to stay over a couple of nights in the Sultanahmet area.
Thank you.

Price range? There are a lot of Istanbul hotel recommendations in the forum so not sure what you mean by "new" recommendations. https://search.ricksteves.com/?button=&date_range=1y&filter=Travel+Forum&query=istanbul+hotel+recommendation

FWIW I stayed at Agora Guesthouse, not fancy but clean and comfortable. I felt safe in the neighborhood and it was close to the main tourist sites in that part of town. Traffic is terrible though, so make sure you allow at least one hour travel time to airport (assuming you are flying home from IST) and get to the airport at least 2.5-3 hours before your flight departs. If you have an early morning flight you might consider moving your last night closer to the airport for an easier morning.

I stayed in three different hotels in Istanbul as a solo traveler.
Nippon Hotel Istanbul, Taksim Square. Great value and friendly staff. The bus from the airport drops you off 100 feet from the hotel. Easy to access either the Metro or the furnicular/tram system that will get you to all major tourist destinations as well as the Galata Port. Also a short walk to military museum for the Mehter Band Concert.

Taksim Point Hotel- located next door to the Nippon Hotel. A bit more expensive but nice. I only moved because a tour I was on was starting here. https://www.pointhotel.com/

Legacy Ottoman Hotel - located 1 block from spice market. Some rooms with views out over Galata Bridge and waterfront. You will see your cruise ship from the breakfast room. Classic building, good breakfast. Trams 2 blocks, ferries 2 blocks. I took a food tour , Yummy Istanbul’s “ Taste of Two Continents” that met just outside and highly recommend the tour.

Thank you. I will check out all recommendations. I especially like that a food tour is mentioned as that’s of great interest to me.
