Hello fellow travelers!
We will be in Istanbul for a week in mid September and would love some hotel recommendations.
We want to explore the city and are looking for a convenient hotel that is safe and clean.
Thank you for any tips!

I have stayed at the Regie Ottoman Hotel in Sirkeci three times, and loved it. Beautiful old building, large and comfortable rooms and bathrooms, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious and abundant buffet breakfast, at least it was pre-pandemic. It is about halfway way between the Sultanahmet old city and the Galata bridge, easily walkable to either. Great value for the quality, I thought.
I seem to have posted in the reviews section.
Apologies and thank you for the comments!
Pre-Covid I and DW stayed at the Double Tree which was pretty centrally located and for us (walkers) easy access to all the sites. For me, one of the major advantages, was that they were pretty careful on the taxi's they used, and gave us a business card to call them if we needed a taxi while we were out and about.
