Eating in Istanbul

What a delicious city!

My favorite stop may have been Durumzade. Few tables and casual. Made famous by Anthony Bourdain. Do not worry if there is a line because it moves quickly. Bring cash but you won’t need more than $10 worth of Turkish Lira. Grilled wraps containing your choice of protein are the main event, but platters looked good, too. Large portions. And a cooler for beverages including the Turkish thinned-yogurt drink. We went twice!

If you enjoyed Durumzade, you might also like trying a traditional ocakbaşı spot while you are in Istanbul. They cook everything over open coals right in front of you, and the flavors are incredible.
