Zurich Airport to Calais

I am collecting a Tesla for a friend this coming week and bringing back to the U.K. and would appreciate any tips. Starting early afternoon from Zurich Airport I was proposing to stay o/n in Nancy where there looks to be a Supercharger and use the A35 to hit the EuroTunnel mid evening the following day.

Does anyone have any comments / observations to help as I’ve not driven this route before ?

Many thanks

Peter

going via Nancy adds a degree of extra time, and over the Vosges will take more technique than Basel > Strasbourg > Metz > Reims > Calais > Coquelles.

I take it that you are familiar with the requirements of Eurotunnel and the issues on the approach to Calais?

More people familiar with France may see your question if you were to have posted in the France Forum - you're in the report back area after the completion of holidays...

Going via Nancy does take you through worse stretches of roads, but:
- the first part of the drive from Mulhouse to Nancy over Bussang pass is relatively pretty, with only a few switchbacks and villages to cross.
- from Nancy, if you take the N4 towards Vitry le François, then the N44 towards Reims, the road is divided highway most of the way, and you save approx 25€ of tolls vs. the slightly faster route via Strasbourg and Metz.
