Your experience with EES ? Particularly Munich and Rome

No personal experience, but there have been multiple posts here about the EES process at a variety of airports and it seems to range from 'a breeze' to a 'penance'

I've not been able to discern a trend line; mostly random dumb luck seems to be the norm.

We arrived in Munich the end of April,and it went very very smoothly and fast. We were a family of three and they took our picture and fingerprinted us using only our four fingers and sent us on our way. It was no slower than before EES. No big deal.
