Wirst and plenty of it-Munich, Konstanz, Colmar, and Paris Sept 6-20

Just back from two week trip and will offer some comments

Munich- 4 nights.Stayed at Novotel Munich-most incredible breakfast buffet ever! Walked all over Munich and enjoyed the amazing Viktualien market, and Rick`s recommended restaurants Der Pschoor beer hall, Spatenhaus beer hall and Opatija restaurant. The Residenz and Alte Pinkotthek were big hits. Enjoyed brats and soccer game at Wirsthaus Im Braunauer Hof.

Next three hights at Hotel Halm in Konstanz. Wonderful hotel with old world charm and modern convenience-right across from train station and harbor. Incredibly helpful TI right across from hotel helped with train reservations and questions about area. Day trip to Meersburg was great and did wine tasting and had lunch at state run wine collective Staatsweingut. Loved walking in Konstanz. Did day trip to Zurich and was underwhelmed although harbor with alps in background was very Swissy

Three nights in Colmar at Hotel St Martin.Rick loves Colmar and so do we. Colorful, fun and reasonably priced. Loved Underlinten museum and had bus trip to Kaysersburg .Beautiful place and fun wine tasting with very knowledgable staff at Caveau des Vignerons. Ate the largest tastiest meat and sauerkraut platter ever at Winstub Schwendl and were treated like kings at Bistrot gourmand.

Paris-three very satisfactory nights at Hotel Cecilia . Not much new to say here. Paris is doing well and museums have very very long lines but it is Paris after all.

A great trip. Flew Airfrance, used RIck`s ticket buying service for trains and all worked well. No negative experiences and am busy on next trip.

Safe travels to all
