Walked the Camino de Santiago

Hi there.
I wanted to share with you the 3,109km walking trip which I made this spring/summer from Prague in the Czech Republic, to Santiago de Compostela and Finisterre in northern Spain.

I walked through Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, France, northern Spain.

If anyone has any questions about walking the Camino de Santiago then I will readily answer any questions received.
Thank you for your time.

Buen Camino!

Fantastic, congratulations, WOW what a trip that must have been. I have wanted to walk the Camino, at least the French to Santiago portion, for some time now. Is 90% of the Spanish portion paved? Have you written this up anywhere on line?

Also, curious if anyone has done the Haute Route from Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn.

Congratulations! I have been searching out parts of the Way of St. James when traveling through southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, parts of France. I would love to see / hear about your route. Do you have a blog or other form of trip report we can tap to learn more?

In reply to Carol's question:

Question: is the road top smooth? My feet are disabled and I would have difficulty walking over more uneven terrain than gravel.

Most of the way isn't smooth I'm afraid.
Maybe try the Camino Norte instead which is supposed to be mainly on tarmac?

Wishing you all the best and Buen Camino!

No, 90% of the Spanish portion (Camino Frances) isn't paved.
I actually recently wrote an article which responded to another article published online which tried to make out that it was in fact mostly paved: http://mycaminosantiago.com/2014/08/14/10-reasons-why-el-camino-de-santiago-sucks/

I hope it helps and Buen Camino!
