Vienna and Spanish Riding School

Unless this is a must see, I would skip this experience. As someone who has owned many horses, the evening show that we saw on 8/28, which we paid $100 per ticket, was so disappointing, with the recommended seats leaving us looking around people. The horses used must have been very early in their training. If this is must see, I would book either a practice ticket during the day or an evening standing room ticket only. While the website says the performance is 45-70 minutes long, it was 45 on the dot.

Lifelong equestrian here- if you don’t know anything about horses, I’d do the show. But from all I’ve seen and heard if you do know about this art- you’re better off visiting for a practice session.

As a former horse owner myself (hence my name) and owner of a copy of Airs Above the Ground, I loved the schooling session. This was pre-pandemic, and I don't remember what we paid, but definitely longer than 45 minutes, and there were multiple exercises happening simultaneously. Also visited the stable area the next day to say hello to the ponies.
