Venetian Carnaval Costume Compile: a TR with a twist

Love that! I've always been fascinated with Venetian carnival costumes and would love to see them firsthand someday. Carnival attire in Rio and New Orleans can be pretty awesome too; different than Venice's but equally stunning in their own way.

I have a friend who goes to Venice every February. The first year her costume was just thrown together while there, a black cape, purple wig and mask.
The next year was a little bit better, she added a skirt and better mask.
The next one was custom made here in NY.
Last year she had her mask made in France and her costume partly here and partly overseas.
This past February she had 3 changes.
She is totally addicted and has made friends as many of the same people go every year.
