V for Vans in Athens GR

We were picked up at the harbor in Athens following a 7 day Mediterranean cruise, by Marios Stavrou, the owner of V for Vans Travel Agency. He was mentioned on this website by a family who had used his services and were pleased. We are 2, 69 year old, fairly active, seniors who don’t like a lot of crowds and hassle. Marios was perfect for us. From the initial contact by email, until we shook hands and hugs goodbye, this young man was phenomenal. Took us each day to sights that were a must see on our list. We were delighted and lucky to have Faye Georgiou with us for two days. Faye is nothing short of a crash course in archaeology. Her depth of knowledge is astounding, yet she made it so timely and interesting.
Marios heard me mention my back and all the walking by Tuesday. After dropping us off at our hotel, he sent a thoughtful text offering to alter our next day to a less strenuous tour. You won’t get that on a public tour!
We were in Athens for 5 days. Stayed at the Plaka Hotel and felt like we lived in the neighborhood as we walked late each evening. Of the 17 days abroad, THIS week is the one my husband tells everyone one about. He’s ready to return and I could adopt Marios. Look for V for Van if you are going to be lucky enough to be in Athens.

I've been there once.
Am at the forum planning a trip to Italy.
But you're selling me on Greece and V.
Thanks
