We are signed up for a RS tour that starts in Florence and ends in Lucca. We plan to arrive a day early so that we are ready to go with the group. My question is if we add a day or two at the end, where or what should we do? Any thoughts? Has anyone been on this tour? Thanks

I went to Bologna after the tour for two nights. I took the train. I highly recommend Bologna, mostly for the food but also the sights. And then I flew home from Bologna to LA through Heathrow.

depends what the itinerary is ? and maybe also if you want to fly direct back to what airport ?
