This is a trip report of our visit to Pisa, 3 days in Florence and 1 day in Siena in late Sept / Early Oct. We are a couple in our mid-twenties. I have been to Rome but nowhere else in Italy. My favorite part of Rome was Trastavere and Florence + Siena reminded me of that same chill feeling. Florence has a great vibe, great food and just the right amount of museum-visiting for us. I think our itinerary was perfect and right off the bat we were experiencing what I love about Italy so much, il dolce far niente (the sweetness of doing nothing). Thank you for sharing. Our family will be leaving for a trip to Italy in 27 and I can't wait! We will be visiting Venice, Pisa, Florence and Rome. In Florence we plan to do many of the same things. It was nice to get a report for someone that was there so recently.
