Hello All,
Just got back from Copenhagen, The Black Forest, Germany, Alsace France.
Not too much to share about Copenhagen. I was there for a wedding and did a lot of family stuff so I won't bore you with that.
Will say that we did eat at Schonneman for Smorrebrod and it was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Next we flew on Easy jet to Basel Euro airport. Really easy and convenient. Good way to cover large distances in short time.
Black Forest: Will start with Freiburg. The Bachle were dry and not flowing. Not sure why. Also the top floor of the Augustiner Museum was closed. (Construction or remodeling, I don't know for how long.)
I would also recommend getting reservations for restaurants if there are any you specifically would like to eat at.
Staufen: Bachle were flowing.
Odds and ends: Todtnau falls were closed due to construction while i stopped there but were scheduled to be open Thursday (Of last week.) The Rodelbahn in Todtnau was fun. Driving all through the Black forest is easy and the roads are good. Some construction in some places with lane closures so just be alert. No big deal.
Alsace: Colmar: Again, restaurant reservations would be a good idea if there are any restaurants that you would really like to eat at.
If you would like to explore the Alsace wine route you might want to look into the Kutzig hop on / hop off bus. Very convenient. Has two stops in Colmar , one stop each in many other of the wine villages. (Including Ribeauville, Riquewihr, Equisheim, etc. ) comes through every hour and a half.
I didn't include too much of my itinerary , just things that I thought may help you in your travel planning. If you have any questions or would like to know more of where we went etc. please reach out.
Safe Travels !
