Head to Cancale (Oysters) & St Malo.(45 Mins)

You can also tour the oyster beds of Cancale with a naturalist. The tour conducted by the Tourist Office of Saint-Malo (why not Cancale? Don't ask!) takes place at low tide at costs 8 Euros (4 for children). There is only room for 35 people so you need to book ahead. The tour is offered mainly on Mondays and Tuesdays in the afternoon (check the schedule) depending on the tide and time of year. You also need boots to do the tour.

Location: Chemin du Clos Landry, La Fresnais (about 15 minutes drive from Cancale)
Details: Known for their traditional cider production methods and tastings. It's a family-owned cider farm with a cozy atmosphere.

I enjoyed your pictures! I just got back from Brittany and Paris (among other locations) and it was fun to see things thru your eyes. You all had great weather to begin with!

For the women in the group - be warned that the vault toilets at Fort La Latte were in the bottom 5% of yucky toilets I've encountered in France. They were a step above the Turkish toilets but even the worst vault toilets in remote Yellowstone are better than these!

Great trip report! My wife and I are looking at doing a similar trip at some point in the next few years.

Coming from Seattle, those oyster prices blew my mind. 3 dozen for €20?? Wild.
