I would have been happy to read forums about travel in Nicaragua but didn’t see any. I’m writing on behalf of someone I’m concerned about- traveling to Nicaragua to complete a business transaction with a Nicaraguan company. I’m concerned. I’ve read the USGovn website. How random is stuff happening?

Since these forums deal primarily with European countries, I would think you might gather more results elsewhere. I'd try the TripAdvisor forums for Nicaragua, and possibly the Lonely Planet one as well.
As I understand the current situation, there is a lot of uncertainity. This I hear from a family friend living in Managua, the capital. Heed what the dept of state says. Perhaps they could meet at a more neutral Country.
