Travel Tips NEW Ideas

We went to Paris for the 3rd time. This time I planned better. I booked at an AirBnB on a large houseboat on the Seine. It was just amazing. Then I used 3x5 cards with a spiral edge. I was able to list each place we wanted to see on one card. I entered the basic information such as days and times open. Costs, tours, phone numbers. Any night hours. I developed a symbol system to easily thumb through them. Along with that i jotted down a few details to remind myself of what major item was there. IT HELPED so much. Of all of the European countries we traveled in numerous years.... this alone was by far the most organized. The next one will even be more so.

Good planning always goes a long way and taking the time to map out the details that interest you versus relying on a book full of extra detail that you will not use can never be overstated. When I travel with a group we are using google docs to line-up a proposed itinerary before we embark. We don't always stick to it but it always makes the trip run smoothly if there is a basic plan.

Good tip. I use a small spiral-bound notebook, activity options on the front page, list of photos taken on the back page.
