Through Eternity Tours: Rome in Two Days Tour: VIP Immersive Experience

Enrica Armenanteon is an amazing tour guide. She toured us on Day One around the Vatican Museum and garden areas, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, the immense Vatican plaza, and the Castle of Angels. So much information and so well organized to get us through the area at our pace. Never hurried, but always on time. Enrica's use of time was efficient throughout the day - we saw it all and more. She had secured a local restaurant for us to have lunch to our liking which included lasagna and also salad. (An American type of salad with lettuce and tomatoes was special ordered for me by Enrica.) I can not imagine Rome and the Vatican area without remembering our new friend Enrica.

Day Two was led by Luca De Angelis, an archeologist, who was also fun and so knowledgeable of the historic Roman sites. Luca took us all over ancient Rome and his background in archeology made the trip truly unbelievable. Since he had actually participated in some of the digs, his information was astounding! My husband and I learned so much from him about the structures and materials used to make them. Fascinating! It was a full day of seeing ancient Rome come alive right before our eyes. For lunch, we wanted to try Rome's pizza and Luca took us to what is now my favorite meal from our Rome vacation. Wood-Burning Pizza! Nothing like this pizza in the states! Delicious and light! Luca took us to too many places for us to list by name but I will throw out a few: the Colosseum, Palentine Hill, Capitoline Hill, Roman Forum, Emperor Palaces, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps (which actually are not called that), the Pantheon, and so many, many more! If you are thinking about the VIP tour in Two Days - stop thinking about it and book it!

I’ve been to Rome several times and could never cover that much in two days.

Hi Donald - I am a new poster and my husband and I are now at a point where we feel we can check some things off of our travel bucket list. Rome was one of those places we just had to visit and we wanted to go all in for the few days we were there. We DID go to all the places I listed and more, but we never felt rushed or like we were being pushed along. We began each day around 9:00 and finished up around 6:00 with a break for lunch. And speaking of lunch, while we were walking on the grounds of the Vatican, our guide Enrica asked about our lunch preferences. I had been eating pretty heavily at night and just wanted a regular salad. She got out her phone and made a call to a restaurant, which had salads, and made sure they had room for us.

My wife and I used Through Eternity for the Vatican and Forum /Colosseum tours. By far the best tour company I've used anywhere in Europe. Our guide for the Vatican had a Masters in Art History and she did an outstanding job telling us the history behind the art and getting into the corruption that started the reformation.

Our Forum guide wrote her thesis on the Roman sewer system and so she themed that tour on her knowledge of that. It was brilliant. Glad to read that their tours are still going strong.

If I'm not mistaken, they are recommended in the RS Rome guide.

We had Luca as our guide to the Domus Aurea with Through Eternity. He was fabulous! His stories about this site were so engaging and memorable - much better than the site guide’s. We also, used Through Eternity for a pizza and gelato tour. We were very happy with both tours and both guides.

We did several different types of tours in Italy during October with different guides and different operators. All were excellent and were key to helping us maximize our time and understanding what we saw. We did a tour of the Colosseum/Palantine Hill with Enrica. She is beyond excellent, the best guide I've had for anything..........ever!!
