The Best Guide in Rome

We were two couples spending 5 days in Rome on our way to Lake Como. We found Giovanna Terzulli in the Rick Steve's guidebook. We have never been steered wrong by Rick. We have used many of his European travel books. Giovanna ("Gio") was superb. She is well versed in Rome's fascinating history. We took two 3 hour tours although one went almost 5 hours. One was from the Capitaline Museum through the Forum and over to the Colossium. The other was through the Vatican, St Peter's and the Sistine Chapel. She makes the history come alive. One of our group was feeling faint during the long walks. I can't say enough about how patient and helpful Gio was. She gets five stars plus1

Your first post after planning a long Italy trip is to tout a certain tour? You love, love, love Rich Steves but you never came her before for advice? Doesn't sound completely honest.

Oh yee of little faith. Time to go traveling and chill out.

Thank you very much for the recommendation. We, too, have found the guides recommended in his book excellent. I'll look her up.
