The Baltics - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (plus Warsaw)

I just returned from a packaged tour of the Baltics.
It was really wonderful and I learned so much about this part of the world.
Our group was large - 80 people split between 2 buses.
The guides did say that these trips sell out because it attracts folks who have been
everywhere else and want to see something a little different.

We stayed 2 or 3 nights in each city (Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, and Warsaw).
The smaller places (the first 3 in my list) were favorites because we stayed
right in the old town centers and had plenty of free time to really walk all
through them.
The food was very good (lots of local fish, chicken and pork) - the wines were excellent
and add to that near perfect weather.

I don't want to particularly advertise any tour company - but this trip was with
Gate 1, and I was really pleased with all of it. There were a few of optional tours
and I only chose 2 of them (Trakai Castle - Lithuania, and Wilanow Palace & Gardens - Warsaw)

Thanks for the report. We hope to make this trip in the future, but might consider a cruise that would include St Petersburg, Russia (no Warsaw?). I have heard that others had good experiences with Gate 1, so it is good to know you also did.
