Stay at Cretaiole in Tuscany - seriously, it's the best. And I'm super picky.

I searched a long time to find the perfect quintessential Tuscan farmhouse. My husband and I went to Italy for our honeymoon and stayed at Cretaiole. Isabella was fantastic from the time I made my first inquiry. She's quick to respond and very helpful. We were greeted when we arrived at the farm and Carlotta was incredibly helpful. They'll book restaurants for you, excursions, whatever you need help with they'll do it.

We ordered the welcome basket and well, it's more like a table! Fresh bread, eggs, cheeses, meats, fruit, nuts, dessert, pasta, sauce, wine, olive oil, etc. It was beautifully set up in our room and it was so much fun eating all the food over the days. They don't miss a single detail, from the beautifully decorated rooms to the toileteries to "the BOOK!" They even give you a cell phone while you're there that you can use. And oh, they even put flowers in the toilet bowl.

The property is gorgeous and huge. Overlooks the valley but they could cut down some trees so the view is less obstructed. It was so nice to hang our clothes out on the clothesline. We were able to pick fresh tomatoes, zucchini, herbs, etc from their garden. We made our own lunch one day and just sat on the picnic tables eating our meal with wine while enjoying the view. There's no pool but that's because that region of Tuscany is trying to maintain its authenticity - so that one day you don't look out and see a bunch of blue circles. Isabella explains this when you go to her orientation - which is a definite do not miss. She's awesome and gives you the best tips.

They offer a lot of activities/excusions so there's no shortage of finding really unique things to do if you haven't made plans in Tuscany.

It's super close to Montepulciano, Piensa and San Quirico. We loved both of those towns. They don't have a restaurant at the farm but that's ok because you don't want to miss out on the food at the restaurants.

I could go on and on and on. It was my dream to go to Tuscany and stay in a farmhouse and Isabella and her husband and Carlotta exceeded my expectations. Truly a memorable stay. If I could live there, I would :)
