While visiting our son in Rome we want to make a quick trip down to sorrento Nov 30- Dec 4 and see Pompeii Vesuvius and try Capri. Will it be too cold and since Mondo's might be closed for the season. Is there another suggested one?

It could be cold. I doubt it will be too cold. You probably will get more answers if you put your question under Italy. Trip reports is well, for trip reports.

We were just in Sorrento about a week ago and it was not chilly at all. It was rainy almost every day however. Pack an umbrella and raincoat! We had to skip our excursion to Capri because the visibility was so low on the day we had free for it. With that said, there are plenty of lovely things to do in Sorrento itself for a day or two if you get rained out with other plans.
