Soley Slovenia-last entry!

On the way back to Ljubljana stopped at Lipica Stud Farm. GPS will want to direct you towards Trieste, make sure you have additional country insurance (Italy) if you want to go this route. Otherwise, you can go on A1, take the Divica exit and stay in Slovenia. The show for Friday was cancelled due to rain (darn it!) but we had a nice tour of historic stud farm complex and museum. We even got to pet a few horses. Note-they moved the show to 11 AM.
Back to Ljubljana for the night before the flight home. Traffic was a nightmare due to storms. Open Kitchen canceled due to weather (double darn it!!). We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and did not make the 3+mile walk into the historic downtown. Notes- Mostly European tourists. Everyone spoke English. Coffee is small and most people sit down at a café to have one. Slovenian food consistently good, and not as salty as American food. Grocery stores are an excellent way to save money vs. eating out all the time. . Hot weather! Our family went through 4-5 liters of water a day in our back packs. Good first European Trip for active teens. My question to future Slovenia tourists is, does anyone have room in their luggage for me?

You packed a lot into your trip. My trip to Slovenia in 2019 remains one of my favorite trips! I hit many of the same places you did. Such an amazing country.
