I was recently in Sicily (September, 2019) and was lucky enough to have a tour with Benjamin Spencer from Etna Wine School (https://etnawineschool.com). Ben was one of the best guides I have ever encountered. I have had many. The only other tour guide who is in the same category is Francesca Carruso who gave us a tour of Rome many years ago (I found both guides through Rick Steves' websites). Ben knew so much about geology, history and wine. The way he speaks is so poetic and articulate and easy to understand. I was traveling with others who know a great deal about wine, but we all learned much about topics we have never been exposed to. This was by far the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend!!!
