We are spending a week in Sicily in Oct. Never been there before. Where are the best places to stay in Palermo. We like to rent an apt. or condo, cook local food. We are fans of Andrea Camilleri's mysteries & would like to see some of Montalbano's locations. Who gives the best tours? Thanks. Bill Allison

Please realize that Montelusa is fictional. Visit the area around Agrigento for a feeling of Salvo's 'hood. A week in Sicily is not long enough to spend more than one night in Palermo to visit some of the more picturesque and historical areas of this fantastic island.
