Seniors 3 week trip to England.

My husband and I just returned from our 9th Europe trip going the Rick Steve's way. We flew from Seattle to London Heathrow, took the bus to Bath and began our trip from Bath as suggested by Rick in his England book. Because we are in our early 60's and don't have quite as much energy, we decided to stay in 4 cities in England and do day trips from these. We had a wonderful time in Bath taking two Mad Maxx mini-bus tours of Stonehenge and the Cotswalds which were great! Also did the free walking tour of Bath. From Bath, we took the train to Keswick. Once there, we were informed that due to the Dec. flood the only way to get to Grasmere, Bowness, etc etc. we needed to take the shuttle, so on the shuttle we went and spent an entire day taking busses to all the little villages in this area. From Keswick, we took the train to Edinburgh, Scotland for a day and back to Keswick. After 6 days in Keswick, we took the train to York where we enjoyed the York Minster evensong as well as many other sights of York. We ended our trip in London for six nights. We stayed at the Victory Services Club. For anyone who has ever served US Armed Forces ( you do not have to be retired from the service, only, served) this is a great place to stay for approx. 115 pounds per night. You can feel free to private msg. me for details. London was everything and more than we had always heard about it!! After six nights in London, we hopped on the plane and flew back to Seattle, having completed another wonderful European trip full of many cherished memories. Thanks Rick!!
