Planning trip to highlands.
Wondering about road from Inverness to Tongue . Then on to Thurso, Wick and on down to Inverness along coast.
Any advice on roaids?

The roads are generally good, if sometimes narrow, but I treated the pullouts as an opportunity to get out and take a photo. If you are going to be on some of the more rural road then watch out for sheep, and take it slow if you do encounter some. Sheep are stupid. Let the locals pass you, they know the roads better and probably want to go faster. If you have the time then do the drive out to Applecross. It's spectacular.
