SAN MARCOS,eating in Italy,affordable travel.

while on our trip to central italy with rick and frances mays in tow, we went to san marcos ,it was an uphill delight! its hard even having been there, that the city sets on that rock. i havent been to monte carlo, but it a elegent feel to it. drank the best moscato ever on the side of that rock and the waitress sold me a bottle! we also enjoyed an evening at senB in senagallia and a delicious meal on the beach at an informal restaurant with complimentary lemon creme for dessert -delic like whipped lemoncello.
we had truffles in every thing and my fav starter were small bowls of polenta served 3 ways,,truffles, delic mushrooms, and cheese. hard to pick a fav dish, the ragout, pici were awesome but i had asgaragus risotto, a real hits and the people next to us were from ks, so we really enjoyed an american visit! it really is no problem if you dont speak italian(and u carry rs language book in your pocket(not your money:>)the people are so helpful. we did get a parking ticket in urbino and while my husband stood in line to pay(115 euros!) a couple ladyladies literally led me to an apparent garden run by students of a university there. so many wonderful tales, and as the tour guide 12 y ago on our 1st trip(without rs) said we must carry the memories in our hearts!! please dont be afraid to to travel off the beaten path with rick, he will not lead you astray,if a middleclass couple from ok thinks its affordable, anyone can do it!! Off season travel & FF Miles help too!P
