This trip to Rothenburg ob der Tauber was magical. We stayed at Pension Fuchsmuehle for the second time after seeing it in Rick's book 5 years ago and it is just as spectacular. Breakfast is always a treat with very fresh ingredients and wonderful coffee. They even have breakfast smoothies! Yum!! Thanks to the Molitor family once again. Of course the town is unmatched for charm. The walk from our pension is so much fun and as you come to the gates of the walled city your are transported in time. The Christmas market had endless charm with everyone shopping and sipping Gluhwein. Dinner at Klosterstuble on Christmas Eve was fantastic and the service at St Jacobs Church will remain in our hearts for years. Rick is correct when he says to stay in Rothenburg after the tourist buses leave. There is no place else like it in the world!!
