Hello.....
We just got back from a 3 week trip to Italy including Rome. I wanted to thank you for all of your input and help. It was wonderful and so helpful!
I wanted to share a recommendation for a tour guide in Rome that was absolutely amazing. She works with private or small groups. She was recommended by friends of ours who had used her last year and fell in love with all of the tours they did with her. Her prices are very fair and she can make all of the necessary arrangements for you. She is also very easy to communicate with. Answered her emails very quickly. Lovely person!
Here is her website and other information in Rome in case you would like to get in contact with her:
Her name is Chiara Mataloni.

There is a lot info here... maybe she was a lurker.
Hello!
I have been following, taking notes and reading this forum for a long time to get ready for our trip to Italy. We carefully read posts from many websites and got so much insightful information.
All of the information was very helpful and made our trip delightful!
I wanted to share this tour guide’s information with anyone who might be looking for someone who was very knowledgeable, informative and very specialized in the history of Rome and has the ability to appreciate and take care of her clients needs
If you are not interested or don’t need any recommendations regarding this topic that is ok.
No need to criticize. Thank you.

Hey, Carolyn. Hopefully my comment was not viewed as criticism, but the now-deleted one that was above mine was viewed that way. My comment was in response to the deleted comment. Your original comment included

which made me think that you were a "lurker" who found enough info here that you did not have to ask questions. Lurker is not meant as a pejorative -- I was a lurker a long time before I became a regular contributor!
Thank you for posting. The guides recommended in the RS guidebook can be difficult to book.
For what it's worth, I lurk way more than I post.
Thank you!! I appreciate your kind words! I will heed your advice!
