We walked through the cemetery stopping at the tombs of Shelly and Keats. Luna, our Guide talked about some of the other notables buried here. We then headed to the new Testaccio Market, stopping at the old grounds of the AS Roma soccer team, one of Rome's two soccer teams. It was supposed to be turned into a parking lot but the fervent fans are protesting and it is now likely to be turned into a park incorporating some of the seating a good idea in an area lacking parks but with many apartment buildings. The new Testaccio market has only just opened and it is still not fully occupied - the rents are much higher than at the old market. We enjoyed some freshly made bruschetta (tomatoes, garlic and basil on fresh crispy bread)and some more proscuitto. From one part of the market you can look down on a ancient Roman street with remains of shops of either side. Then it was off to lunch! A lovely restaurant where we had two sorts of pastas washed down with wine. We are really groaning now!
